GROWCAT® is a Capability Analysis Tool designed to identify the skills that underpin organisational business growth. GROWCAT measures skills in business acumen and the overall capacity for innovation, entrepreneurship and business development.
Why use GROWCAT®?
As everyone in the organisation can contribute to business growth and improvement, GROWCAT is designed for use by all members of staff, from frontline staff to members of the executive team.
GROWCAT® is based on three underpinning principles drawn from current international research:
- skills for business growth are essential in contemporary organisations
- skills for business growth can be acquired across the organisation
- skills for business growth can be developed systematically, across the organisation.
The GROWCAT® survey consists of 132 questions about skills, and includes questions about the respondents’ attitudes, motivations and aspirations.
GROWCAT® provides a whole-of-organisation platform for future business growth and success. Organisations can use the results to:

GROWCAT® components include:
- a staff awareness strategy and a launch workshop
- an online survey that generates immediate reports for individual respondents

- advice and direction about ongoing development
- guidance for ongoing reflection and discussion in the organisation about future business growth directions.
